Nonprofit Partnership of support for people with disabilities “Open World” announces casting for young women which using active wheelchair, for participation in an integration fashion show
"The fashion world is open to everyone." In recent years, people with disabilities progressively become able to lead more active lives, achieve high performance in sports, business and creativity.
The fashion industry has not fully caught up with this trend. A number of initiatives in inclusive fashion make headlines from time to time, but this number is still small compared to the size of the population affected by some form of disability, and the social and political importance of inclusion for a modern open society.
Nonprofit Partnership "Open World" works actively to change this, in Russia and beyond.
For the first time in Russia, NP “Open World” in partnership with the Moscow International contest of young designers (MKMM) - social cultural project, which runs from 2009 with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow, has become an important thematic event that promotes spiritual, moral and cultural values.
